This is a winery one can rarely find in the Republic of Moldova. It is distinguished by a picturesque view called “Little Tuscany of Moldova”.

The vineyards stretch on the Măgurii hills, within a unique region, suitable for the production of exceptional wines. Crama Mircești includes a white mansion, which once belonged to a landlord and which in 2011 was restored and brought back to life. It was at that same time when the first vine cuttings were planted. At present, the vineyard covers an area of 15 hectares and as of 2020 the winery opened the doors of its own guesthouse with traditional cuisine. Crama Mircești is locat-ed 25 kilometres away from the city of Ungheni and 80 kilometres away from Chișinău, in the village with the same name - Mircești, one may say it is in the heart of Moldova

Domeniile Pripa comprises 17.5 ha of hills with the south-western exposure of Dniester River’s slope, part of the Hamza Valley, PGI Ștefan Vodă.

The slope hosts the Rară Neagra and Feteasca Neagra vine cuttings that used to grow on these lands as early as the 19th century, also, Merlot, Saperavi, Feteasca Regala and Fetească Alba. Only grapes grown on the Domeniile Pripa vineyards are used for wine production. The wines are aged exclusively in Moldovan oak barrels, manufactured by three brothers originating from the Ulmu village, craftsmen in this area for at least three generations. The first experimental wine was produced in 2016 and was bottled in a limited number of bottles, namely: Saperavi - 84 bottles, Fetească Neagră - 480 bottles, Rară Neagră - 270 bottles.

TE WA, "time will tell" in Maori, is a wineful result of the creative spirits of two female enthusiasts who wanted to make some of the finest limited editions the Moldovan terroir can create.

Time will tell

After globe-trotting from Napa Valley to New Zealand in search for the best wine experiences, they dreamed to make a wine that could send frissons of electricity down their spine.  And they did it in Moldova. At the heart of TEWA is the love for nature and the indulgent experiences that do not always come with a price tag like the freedom to enjoy a breathtaking view for hours and living well amongst the simple pleasures and gifts from Nature.

Three years in a row, 2017 through 2019, the Fautor Winery has qualified as “the most awarded wine company of the republic of Moldova” due to obtaining the highest haul of medals at international competitions.

The high scores obtained from Robert Parker Wine Advocate for a number of wines from the winery’s portfolio have opened a new page in the history of wines from the Republic of Moldova. The winery’s vineyards cover an area of 350 ha which is located in the South of the Republic of Moldova, within the Valul lui Traian wine growing region. The vineyards include both international and local varieties (Feteasca Regală, Feteasca Neagră, Rara Neagră) and two unique varieties (Albariño and Tempranillo), which are unique to this area. The factors allowing Fautor Winery to create unique wines in the world are the terroir, the indigenous varieties, and the innovative approach. The special terroir of the Fautor vineyards is created by the Codrii Tigheci forest reservation and the terraces of Prut River, which also delimits the border between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
